|Simon Biggs was born in Australia in 1957 und has been living in Europe since 1986. He has been working with computers and the new media since the 70's. His installations are highly complex creations which incorporate the latest technical developments.
Biggs uses electronic media to analyze the effects of technology on society and its communications.
According to Biggs, we perceive the world today in much the same way as a computer, in hierarchies, structures and space-time concepts. We even view ourselves as computers with memories, logical conclusions and linear thinking. One of the goals of his work is to break open these views. Biggs' view is that art blows up things and doesn't put them back together
